Greeting from the President

Center for Veterinary Drug Development (CVDD) at Rakuno Gakuen University was established on April 1, 2017 which is the first contract research organization among the veterinary universities in Japan. Our Animal Medical Center, with many competent veterinarians and completed medical facilities and devices, is one of the top–class domestic animal hospitals that not only oversees more than 20,000 productions and companion animals annually, but also serves as the base of veterinary medicine and clinical education. Majority of graduates from the Department of Veterinary Medicine are currently engaging in either using veterinary drugs as clinical veterinarians or developing new veterinary drugs as researchers in pharmaceutical companies.
To receive manufacturing and marketing approvals of veterinary drugs, it is necessary to apply the documents of clinical studies. Thus, the CVDD was established with strong objectives on enhancing the system of contract research organization which is needed to perform clinical studies more rapidly and appropriately, and being recognized as a university with a unique veterinary education and outstanding research base.
We will endeavor to contribute for the developments and practical applications of veterinary drugs and look forward to your patronages.
