Revocation of Designation of Virginiamycin, Colistin Sulfate, and Decoquinate as Feed Additives
Designation of virginiamycin, colistin sulfate, and decoquinate as feed additives will be revoked and enforced by the Partially Revising of the Ministerial Ordinance Concerning Compositional Standards for Feed and Feed Additives on July 1st, 2018. In accordance with this ordinance, manufacture and storage of feed including these feed additives for the purpose of selling, giving, or use, will violate the Act on Safety Assurance and Quality Improvement of Feeds.
In particular, colistin is now distributed as feed additives. We request that farmers do not store feed with colistin sulfate additives or use it in a wrong way.
